Aaaand Seren steps in and gets the job done. Though I guess it’s not fair to give her all the credit, as the thing seems to be having to contend with quite a lot more than it had previously. Also, worth giving a shout out to Baldur here, as our green hero has been fighting it out non-stop this entire time, even with his armor and shield getting completely smashed. Seren may have stabbed that thing, but Baldur deserves some credit as well.
Of course, one can only wonder what a stab to one of these creatures would actually do. Hm. Maybe there’s a clue to much of what’s going on here somewhere else…like…say…a Prose story about someone named Cato that’s been running more or less parallel to this? Maaaaybe.
